Hot Air Balloon Safaris - Kenya, Tanzania, East Africa

Hot Air Balloon Safaris

Hot Air Balloon Safaris – Kenya

MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE – EARLY MORNING – 4 HOURSexcursion_kenya

This is the ultimate way to view wildlife in Africa. You will be woken before dawn and then driven to a remote location. Taking off as the sun rises, you will drift quietly above plains, rivers and forests while gazing at spectacular scenery and with luck, take some incredible photographs. The flight is approximately one hour and gives a ‘birds-eye’ experience to game watching which many find to be the climax of their safari. On landing in the middle of the bush there will be a full champagne bush style breakfast set up, with a table decked in silver cutlery, fresh Kenyan coffee, tea and fruits. It is a truly magical experience.

Hot Air Balloon Safaris – Tanzania

EARLY MORNING
 – DEPARTS BEFORE – 0500 BUSH BREAKFAST
Pre-dawn transfer to the balloon staging site. After a pre-flight briefing by the pilot, the crew inflates the balloon and at sunrise, the flight begins. Lasting about 50 minutes, the balloon silently glides over the wildlife, sometimes at tree top level and sometimes higher up to better see the entire ecosystem. Upon landing, in the tradition of balloonists through the centuries, a champagne breakfast is served in the heart of the bush! After breakfast, there is a transfer to rejoin the safari group.

Wildebeest Migration

devider

One of Africa’s most magnificent attractions is the continuous movement of more than one and a half million wildebeest. The world’s largest migration of mammals has been featured for years on television programmes, with vivid images of wildebeest after wildebeest leaping into the Mara River. Equally thrilling is the site of new calves being born and struggling to get their footing with the threat of predators always nearby.

Many travellers hope to include the opportunity to view the migration as part of their safari. Our map below helps provide a typical cycle of migration movements. It is important to note that the cycle is dependant on rainfall and growth of grass and may not be exactly as shown.
